Revolutionizing influencer marketing dynamics

In the dynamic intersection of traditional and social media marketing, Influencer Marketing has emerged as a formidable player. Global Entertainment Matrix (GEM) app is reshaping the engagement landscape on how business and influencers can engage which each other directly. The app allows businesses to have better control in their strategic approach with influence marketing. Gem gives influencers more choices and visibility as to what opportunities are being presented.

Originally tasked to audit and elevate the UIUX of the MVP they had launched based on feedback and testings. With the pandemic unfolding, the business pivoted and the project task was to build out a 0 to 1 set of features.

Problem

Elevating UI/UX and strategic pivot for Gem

Gem confronts a critical challenge with its existing user experience, marked by inefficiencies in the booking process and a lack of seamlessness in the UI/UX. The pandemic further emphasizes the necessity for Gem to strategically pivot from its current booking-focused user flow to a more collaborative and flexible approach, ensuring continued relevance and adaptability in the rapidly changing pandemic-induced market.

Challenge

Insights to nudge the pandemic-driven urgency forward

The biggest challenge was the urgency to adapt based on the pandemic. Working with UX writers, they came up with a survey to help us get insight to figure out what the current pain point was and to solve how might we pivot collaboration through the app.

Out of the 12 questions — 3 questions and answers pictured below stood out that helped us make the connection of going from a booking base app to a flexible and collaborative solution.

The insights from the survey allowed the collective team to ideate through a series of potential user flows and solutions to run small user testings off wireframe prototypes to gather feedback to keep the project moving.

Solution

Enhancing the UIUX and the pivot to gift-giving

Reimagining GEM's UI and UX to create a seamless user experience— the new design impression comes off reliable and credible with a seamless ux to help guide users through each step of the journey.

Gift-giving was the solution we collectively voted on that addressed both influencer and business pain points and needs. It allowed business more control of their marketing spend and strategy, while giving influencers more creative freedom to how they want to collaborate and act as an ambassador for the brand. The new user flow split into 2 options of gift-giving, Universal and Direct Offer.

Conclusion

Empowering collaboration and creativity

The product of collaborative effort between stakeholders, designers, PMs, and developers— Gem's refined UI/UX not only delivers a seamless and credible user experience but also fosters meaningful connections through delightful interactions and enhanced ease of use. The strategic pivot to gift giving emerges as a significantly more flexible solution, providing businesses with greater control over marketing spends and strategy. Simultaneously, influencers enjoy heightened creativity in shaping collaborations and serving as brand ambassadors, marking a transformative shift in the influencer marketing landscape.

I am not able show specific numbers (NDA), but I can summarize 3 main areas of the results— an increase in user satisfaction, increased conversion rate (businesses), increase in adoption, and increase in transactions between businesses/influencers.
